Hear ye, good citizens of Tucson and the surrounding country:
On Saturday, the 28th of March, 2026, the Arizona Vintage Base Ball League shall take the field at Fort Lowell Day, where the national pastime shall be played in the manner of the 1860s. From 12 o’clock noon until 5 in the afternoon, ball clubs in proper period uniform shall contend by the old rules, as base ball was known when Mr. Lincoln held the Presidency.
The day’s amusements promise more than base ball alone, for Fort Lowell Day is known to bring forth living history in martial array, with reenactors, cannon reports, and other spectacles of the soldiering life. Admission is free to all. Bring your families, your curiosity, and your stoutest cheer, and witness history not in books, but upon the field.
